A maternity nurse role supporting first-time parents with newborn twins, suited to an experienced twin specialist providing feeding support, practical guidance, and structured early newborn care within a private family home.

Job Summery

This role is based within a private family household welcoming non-identical twin. The mother is keen to learn as much as possible and is looking for a maternity nurse who enjoys sharing knowledge and building parental confidence through practical teaching and support. The mother will be recovering from a caesarean section and hopes to breastfeed whilst incorporating combination feeding. The family would value a maternity nurse with strong feeding knowledge who can offer balanced guidance tailored to their preferences and circumstances. The father will be available during the first six weeks, making this a collaborative household where communication and teamwork are important. The family are looking for a candidate who is warm, engaging, and personable, whilst also understanding when to step back and respect family time and privacy.

There are two cats in the home, and candidates should be comfortable working in a household with pets.

Job Specification

• Providing expert care for newborn twins
• Supporting breastfeeding and combination feeding
• Offering guidance on feeding schedules and twin routines
• Assisting parents in establishing practical and sustainable newborn routines

• Proven experience as a maternity nurse supporting newborn twins
• Strong knowledge of breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and combination feeding
• Confident teaching and guiding first-time parents

• Professional, discreet, and respectful of family boundaries
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
