Travelling Private Chef – London/New York/Portugal
Location: Primarily London (St John’s Wood) and New York, with occasional travel to Portugal and other destinations.
Schedule: 5 days per week on average (flexibility required)
Start Date: May.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
A warm and professional household is seeking an experienced Private Chef to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing healthy and diverse meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) for a family of two adults, with occasional cooking for their three grown-up children who do not reside in the household.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals with a focus on health-conscious cuisine (no beef)
• Offer a variety of dishes across Mediterranean, Asian, Italian, and Indian-inspired menus
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Source quality ingredients and manage pantry supplies
• Cook daily (B/L/D), averaging 5 days per week – some weeks may require 4 days or 6 days , balancing out to a 5 day per week schedule.
Requirements:
• EU national with UK residency or British passport holder
• Previous private household experience preferred
• Willingness and flexibility to travel – primarily between London, New York, and Portugal
• Comfortable working independently and able to plan menus with minimal guidance
• Fluent English
• A driver is preferred but not essential
Travel Schedule Overview:
• 4 + months or so year in London (St John’s Wood)
• 3 months/year in New York
• A few weeks/year in Portugal
• Travel will depend on household needs –and will not always be required to accompany depending on location.
