Knightsbridge Family Seeks Private Chef with a love for Italian and Mediterranean Cuisine

Hours: 5 days per week – breakfast, lunch and dinner
Location: Knightsbridge (Hyde Park Corner) 
Salary: This is open to negotiation and will depend on the chef’s experience, training and skills 
Other staff: Fully staffed household with House Manager, team of housekeepers, drivers, nannies and one other chef 

A warm and engaging family of four—comprising two adults and two school-aged children—residing in the heart of Knightsbridge, near Hyde Park Corner, is on a quest to welcome a new chef into their home. 

With a passion for Italian and Mediterranean flavours, this role is a great opportunity for a culinary artist who wishes to make their cooking an integral part of a family’s daily joy.

As the family prepares to transition into their new home, which boasts a state-of-the-art, spacious kitchen, they are eager to invite a new chef to become an essential part of their household. This individual will have the unique opportunity to work alongside the family’s talented existing chef, ensuring a seamless culinary experience. The position entails a five-day workweek, with three days spent collaborating/crossover in the kitchen, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and harmony.

The family is in search of a chef with a knack for high-standard cooking, enriched by experiences in both restaurant and private settings. The ideal candidate will possess the versatility to create both fine dining experiences for dinner parties and comforting family-style meals. A keen ability to cater to refined palates and specific dietary needs, including a low-salt diet, with a comprehensive understanding of nutrition, is essential.

The role will vary between solo and collaborative cooking tasks. When working alone, the chef will be responsible for all family meals, transforming each meal into an expression of their passion for food. In collaboration with the family’s other chef, creativity will take center stage, with tasks ranging from baking homemade biscuits and bread to concocting healthy snacks that both delight and nourish.
