A warm and informal family of four based in Marton-in-Cleveland, Middlesbrough, is seeking an experienced and passionate Private Chef to join their household on a full-time, live-out basis.
This is a newly created role supporting a principal who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer and is committed to following a carefully managed organic, whole-food diet, with a strong preference for ketogenic-style nutrition. The successful candidate will play an important role in the family’s daily wellbeing by sourcing, preparing and cooking nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
Job specification:
- Planning and preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family
- Designing and preparing organic, whole-food menus
- Following specific nutritional guidelines, including keto meal preparation for one principal
- Sourcing the highest quality organic ingredients
- Managing all grocery shopping and food procurement
- Preparing healthy snacks and lunchbox options for the children
- Batch cooking and providing fridge and freezer fillers
- Managing kitchen inventory and stock control
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
- Monitoring food quality, freshness and storage
- Working closely with the family to adapt menus and dietary requirements as needed
Candidate specification:
- Strong knowledge of healthy, organic and nutrition-focused cooking
- Experience with ketogenic diets and specialist dietary requirements would be highly advantageous
- Excellent organisational and kitchen management skills
- Confident in menu planning and food sourcing
- Discreet, professional and compassionate approach
