Job Summary
A warm and welcoming North London family is seeking an experienced and reliable part-time nanny to care for their two primary school-aged children (aged 5 and 6).
The role offers approximately 16–20 hours per week, ideally worked across consecutive weekdays, with Monday to Wednesday preferred. Typical hours will start between 12:00pm and 2:00pm and finish between 7:00pm and 7:30pm. Some flexibility for additional hours may be available. This is a sole-charge position.
The family is looking for a warm, friendly, and proactive nanny with experience caring for children of a similar age. The ideal candidate will be able to create a structured yet nurturing environment, encourage independence, and maintain a calm and organised routine. Nursery experience would be advantageous.
General Duties
- School pick-ups and coordination of after-school activities
- Providing attentive after-school and evening care
- Managing the children’s daily routine, including bedtime preparation
- Supervising and supporting homework where required
- Preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the children
- Maintaining a safe, calm, and well-organised environment
- Light child-related housekeeping and tidying
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience caring for young children
- Confident working in a sole-charge position
- Warm, engaging, and able to build positive relationships with children
- Comfortable supporting homework and educational activities
- Able to prepare healthy meals for children
- Comfortable around pets
- A driver with their own car would be advantageous for occasional journeys to children’s activities or parties, although applications from non-drivers will also be considered. Mileage and any agreed vehicle use would be reimbursed.
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
