Part Time Housekeeper Job in Islington, North London
A lovely family based in Islington is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organised part time housekeeper to assist with the smooth day-to-day running of their household. The family consists of a couple and their two young children, aged 5 and 2 years old. The children are cared for by two employed nannies, so the role will focus solely on housekeeping duties.
The family lives in a four-bedroom home arranged over four floors, with two home offices, a playroom, and an attic. The interior is modern in style, featuring a mix of carpeted and tiled flooring, along with upscale antiques, period pieces, and contemporary furnishings.
The family is looking for a trustworthy and experienced housekeeper who can take ownership of the household upkeep with minimal direction. Strong laundry and wardrobe management skills are essential, along with excellent organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home
- Laundry and ironing
- Wardrobe organisation and care of clothing
- Making beds and changing bed linen
- Deep cleaning
- Running household errands
- Keeping the home tidy, organised, and well-maintained
- Other ad hoc housekeeping duties as required
Nearest Station: Essex Road (Great Northern), Dalston Junction (Windrush)
House: Four Bedrooms, Four Floors, Two Offices, Playroom and Attic
Other Staff: Two Nannies
Days & Hours: 15–20 hours per week over 3–4 days (flexible for the right candidate)
Salary: £19–£20 gross per hour ( PAYE or SE)
