A short-term maternity nurse role supporting a 5-month-old baby through a challenging feeding phase, suited to a calm, experienced and proactive maternity professional.
Job Summary
This is a supportive role for a warm American family who are looking for an experienced maternity nurse to provide steady overnight support, reassurance and practical guidance. The baby is currently navigating a difficult feeding stage due to a severe dairy allergy, and mum is looking for someone confident, calm and capable who can come in, take the lead and help bring a little structure and ease to the nights. Mum is looking for a maternity nurse who can provide calm, organised and experienced support overnight. Baby has a severe dairy allergy, and mum is currently dairy-free while they work on introducing a suitable specialist formula. Baby is resistant to the formula at present, and mum is also pumping during the night.
The family are looking for support across two nights per week, ideally split across the week so mum does not have to manage two consecutive nights alone.
Job Specification
Helping mum through a challenging feeding transition
• Supporting with expressed milk and bottle feeding as required
• Working sensitively around baby’s dairy allergy and current feeding needs
• Helping create calmer, more manageable nights for mum
• Providing practical reassurance and gentle guidance
Candidate Requirements
- Confident supporting babies with allergies or feeding challenges
• Calm, practical and able to get on with things independently
• Kind, reassuring and supportive of mum
• Professional, discreet and organised
• Able to offer two non-consecutive nights per week
