Live out ROTA Housekeeper Job in Notting Hill Gate, West London
A UHNW family is looking to hire 3 Housekeepers to join their household team. The family of 6 consists of the parents and their 4 children aged between 6 and 11 years old. It is a formally run, multiple-staffed household, but the family is relatively informal; however, there is a uniform to be worn by the staff members. The household team currently consists of a House Manager, 2 Housekeepers, a Wardrobe Manager, 2 Chefs, and a Nanny. Their beautiful, high-spec home has wooden parquet floors throughout, rugs, marble in the bathrooms, and quite a lot of glass. The home is furnished with very high-end pieces of furniture. Their main house is over 5 floors and has a lift (which can be used by staff for taking up or down laundry, hoover, etc.), an indoor pool, a music room, a cinema room, a game room, a bar with a large bathroom, a downstairs kitchen for heavy cooking, and a kitchen/lounge area for lighter cooking. There is a staff quarter, where you can take your breaks, which offers a kitchen, lounge and loos, and this area has a separate entrance. In addition, there is a 2-bedroom guest mews house at the back. The grandparents and other family members/friends will visit and stay in their mews house. They do not plan to have formal parties, and if they do, they will not be often, mostly just family gatherings. They are looking for someone hardworking, flexible, professional, polite, who is a good team player and is looking for a long-term role.
Duties to include but may not be limited to:
- General deep cleaning of all areas
- Day-to-day cleaning of rooms and formal areas
- Help clean the kitchen after the chefs finish with the food prep (including cleaning the equipment used)
- Helping the Wardrobe Manager with some laundry and ironing duties
- Making beds and changing bed linen
- Setting up the dining table
- Food and drink service when the clients entertain guests
- Turn down service
- Assisting with other duties as requested by the clients
Nearest Tube Station: Notting Hill Gate
House: Approximately 8,000 sqft large, 5-storey home with lift, plus a 2-bedroom guest mews house at the back and a garden
Working Days: Rota shifts: a 5-day week with 2 consecutive days off and one weekend off guaranteed per month
Working Hours: 9-hour shifts with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break – shift patterns to cover the hours between 6:30 am and 9 pm. The shifts will be from
- 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
- 9 am to 6 pm
- 12 pm to 9 pm
Salary: up to £50k gross per annum (subject to experience)
