A UHNW international family seek a Live-in Housekeeper for their stunning private estate nestled in the South Surrey hills, working Thursday to Monday.
The role calls for confident home cooking for family and friends, a genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful space, a warm and family-friendly manner, and a love of animals.
A self-contained one-bedroom cottage in the grounds is included, and a driving licence is essential given the property’s rural setting.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Live-in Houskeeeper in Surrey, include:
- Overall upkeep and presentation of a much-loved family home
- General housekeeping to a very high standard
- Cooking for family and guests (a chef is hired for larger or formal events)
- Assisting with table service
- Washing, ironing, folding and putting away of the family’s personal clothing and bedding
- Making up beds and changing bed linen as required
- Sweeping, mopping and polishing floors
- Cleaning, brushing and storing coats, boots and shoes
- Errand running
- Checking and purchasing groceries and household supplies
- Maintaining a record of expenditure
- Flower arranging
- Dog walking
- Answering the telephone and taking messages
Candidates must be/have:
- Experience in a similar position for a formal or UHNW household or hotel environment
- Acute attention to detail
- Real pride in their work
- Good ironing experience
- Happy to muck in with a busy family
- Able to drive (a car is available on site for use)
- UK passport holder
- Fluent English speaker
- Portuguese language skills are a bonus but not essential
Accommodation
A self-contained one-bedroom cottage on site.
Hours
Thursday to Monday, 09:00 – 18:00 (with degree of flexibility).
Location
Cranleigh, Surrey, UK.
Salary
In region of £37,000.
Plus, statutory holiday, pension and car for work use.
