Private Chef – Live-In | Milan, Italy | €5,500 Net if self-employed.
Greycoat Lumleys is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Private Chef to join a warm, English-speaking family based in Milan.
Candidates must have excellent experience with anti-inflammatory diets and cooking for private families.
It is a busy household with children, and the chef should be able to adapt to specific diets. A unique opportunity for a talented chef already based in Italy, ideally with their own vehicle and operating on a self-employed basis.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the kitchen, working independently to deliver exceptional daily meals and occasional entertaining to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:

Full management of the kitchen, including cleaning and organisation

Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily

Creating nutritious, anti-inflammatory meals for the entire family (2 adults and 6 children)

Preparing healthy packed lunches for the children

Serving meals and clearing the table

Catering for occasional lunch and dinner parties (up to 10 guests), with refined plating and presentation
Candidate Profile:

Professionally trained chef, ideally with Michelin-level or high-end restaurant experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a private household, with excellent references

Strong understanding of health-focused and anti-inflammatory cuisine

Equally confident preparing relaxed family-style meals and fine dining dishes

Highly organised, self-sufficient, and flexible in a dynamic household environment

Fluent in English; French or Italian language skills are advantageous

Already based in Italy with the right to work (EU passport holders only)

Must hold a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle
Working Schedule & Package:

Preferably a 5-day working week with a split shift schedule.

Chef must be happy to work on Saturdays and prepare meals for their days off.

Live-in accommodation available in a separate local apartment (car required if accommodation is used)

Salary: €5,500 net per month (13 months), ideally on a self-employed basis
