Job Summary:
A warm and welcoming family based in Hull are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and proactive live-in nanny to provide sole-charge care for their two young children aged 2.5 years and 3.5 months. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional looking to become an integral part of a family and support the children’s development through engaging, age-appropriate activities and attentive care.
The successful candidate will be confident caring for both a toddler and a young baby, able to manage daily routines independently, and passionate about creating a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. The family can offer a separate flat for the nanny’s accommodation, providing privacy and independence outside working hours.
In addition to childcare duties, the nanny will be responsible for all child-related tasks including nursery duties, preparing healthy meals, maintaining children’s routines, organising activities, and supporting developmental milestones. Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are highly valued in this role.
Candidate specification:
- Minimum 5 years’ professional nanny experience.
- Strong experience caring for both babies and toddlers simultaneously.
- Confident supporting weaning, sleep routines, and developmental milestones.
- Warm, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about childcare.
- Proactive and able to use initiative without requiring direction.
- Experienced in planning engaging and educational age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
- Happy to undertake all nursery duties and child-related housekeeping.
- Organised, reliable, and able to maintain consistent routines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents.
- Paediatric First Aid certificate preferred.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
- Full, clean driving licence desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable committing to a long-term position and becoming part of the family support network.
