Live-In Housekeeper | UK & France | £45,000 p.a.

A private principal is seeking an experienced, warm, and reliable live-in housekeeper to manage a well-run rural household across properties in the UK and Southern France (Languedoc). The role is based in France for part of 2026 before settling permanently in the UK from 2027.

The role includes:

• Full housekeeping duties to an excellent standard
• Laundry, ironing, and care of linens and clothing
• Occasionally cooking simple, healthy meals and  providing kitchen assistance
• Shopping, errands, and general household support
• Care and walking of a Wire-Haired Dachshund
• Liaising with tradespeople and welcoming guests

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years' live-in private household experience
• Fluent English; Spanish a bonus
• Full clean driving licence
• Verifiable telephone references from previous principals
• Genuine love of animals and country living

Package: Salary £45k gross p.a. plus accommodation
