Private Chef for UHNW Family – Kensington Based | Up to £400/day | 3 Days/Week + Travel

A prestigious family of four, based in Kensington, is looking for an experienced and personable Private Chef to join their household team on a part-time basis. This exciting role offers three working days per week — typically Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday, with some flexibility. There is another chef in the household, and the schedule can occasionally be adjusted in coordination with them — allowing for some flexibility to swap weekend shifts for weekdays when needed.

About the Role:

The chef will be responsible for preparing fresh, wholesome, and beautifully presented meals tailored to the family’s tastes, using top-quality, seasonal ingredients. . Occasionally, you’ll also enjoy baking sessions with the children — such as making cupcakes or pizza — so a warm, approachable nature is appreciated.

Menus can either be planned in advance with the family or created on the day, depending on the availability of fresh produce and the family’s preferences. Creativity, flexibility, and attention to detail are key.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience working in private households with a high standard of professionalism and discretion.

• Strong understanding of seasonal ingredients and the ability to create balanced, nutritious, and beautifully presented meals.

• Highly organised, clean, and self-sufficient in the kitchen.

• Friendly and child-aware, with a calm, flexible, and positive attitude.

• Willing and able to travel  

Travel Requirements:

The role includes travel for up to 10 weeks per year, typically during school holidays. During these periods, you’ll be expected to work 6 days per week, with all travel-related expenses covered.

• Location: Kensington, London

• Schedule: 3 days per week – typically Saturday, Sunday + one weekday (flexible swaps possible with another chef)

• Hours: Approx. 9 hours/day (e.g., 8/10am – 7/9pm with a break)

• Travel: Approx. 10 weeks per year (working 6 days/week during travel – independent accommodation provided when traveling)

• Rate:  £400/day | Overtime paid
