A lovely opportunity for an experienced Temporary Nanny to join a warm family in South West London, providing focused care for two young children whilst supporting their daily routines and development. The role has potential to be extended into a Permanent role
Job Summary
This is a temporary live-out position suited to a professional and proactive nanny who enjoys caring for babies and young children within a family-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will provide sole-charge care for two children, a happy and energetic three-year-old and a smiley baby currently aged four months.
The family are seeking a nanny who is confident working independently, takes initiative, and can quickly become a trusted support to the household during a particularly busy period. Whilst the position is initially expected to run until December, there is potential for the role to be extended into a permanent role for the right candidate.
This role would suit an experienced nanny who enjoys supporting young children’s development, maintaining routines, and creating a calm, nurturing environment.
Job Specification
- Providing attentive care for a four-month-old baby and three-year-old child
- Supporting age-appropriate development and daily routines
- Planning engaging activities and play opportunities
- Managing feeds, naps, and general baby care
- Supervising and supporting the eldest child’s routine outside nursery hours
- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children where required
- Maintaining children’s bedrooms, toys, and play areas
- Children’s laundry and wardrobe organisation
- Ensuring a safe, happy, and stimulating environment
- Communicating effectively with parents regarding the children’s wellbeing
- Assisting with light child-related housekeeping during nap times
Candidate Specification
- Proven experience caring for babies and young children
- Confident caring for infants under one year of age
- Professional, warm, and nurturing approach
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate routines
- Organised and reliable
- Comfortable following parental guidance and household routines
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude
- Excellent references from previous childcare positions
- Practical First Aid qualification required
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage and excellent checkable references essential.
